Fool me Once - Standard Edition Compact Disc (SIGNED!)
Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album
Inspired by the classic noir film style, the album is an energetic rock opera of gangsters, vampires, betrayal and petty revenge set against the seedy underbelly of the post-prohibition era. The story follows anti-heroes turned reluctant partners Archie Walker and Josie Belue on their quest to topple kingpin Harold “The Diamond” Helsinger from the throne of his bootlegging empire, as chronicled by private investigator, Max Rudolph.
Signed by the band, includes access to the 44-page digital companion booklet.

lyrics
Ladies and gentlemen, bones and thieves,
If you got fingers get ‘em snapping
And let me hear you tapping those feet
If you’re a bum or a broad on the run,
You better believe your bony bottoms baby
Bring your can on outta the sun
Raise your glasses and start slapping asses
If you’re here you’re either dead or worse,
So come on, give it up it’s time to quench that thirst
The fun is inside, and you’ve just arrived
Let me get to the gist
I’ll betray with a kiss,
And I can’t say, hey, we didn’t warn you
If you’re on the run
And looking for some fun
We won’t disappoint -
Welcome to The Joint
Little mister down on table five
You’re looking just about as bad as
Half as bad as back when you were alive
Table two I see you drippin’ with sin
Prepare to get a million miles deeper than the shit that you’re in
Little vixen down on table three
If your nana’s barely breathing
Baby, send that honey over to me
I wanna meet her, so I can tell her that
The fun is inside, and you’ve just arrived
Well let me get to the gist
I’ll betray with a kiss,
And I can’t say, hey, we didn’t warn you
If you’re on the run
And looking for some fun
We won’t disappoint -
Welcome to The Joint
Lest you think me fake
I’m going to make a point to blow you all away
Make no mistake
I’m going to shake you from the grave
Make no mistake!
And when you’re gone no one will miss you
For the mischief that you made
And now you’re gone
And it’s the after party
Let’s get naughty!
Ladies and gentlemen, bones and thieves,
If you got fingers: snap your fingers,
Tap your feet, yeah, tap your feet, yeah, OOO!
Let me get to the gist
I’ll betray with a kiss,
And I can’t say, hey, we didn’t warn you
If you’re on the run
And looking for some fun
We won’t disappoint..
Let me get to the gist
I’ll betray with a kiss,
And I can’t say, hey, hey, hey
If you’re on the run
And looking for some fun
We won’t disappoint -
Welcome to the...

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

So, here's my thing about this amazing thing. I've listened to every single thing of Amanda's that I could since 2008. So when I say I failed with this album, you'll understand how big that is. When this came out, I thought I'd get around to it later because I knew a bunch of the tracks on it already. I never got around to it. Now, I've heard it, and I'm broken. In the best way. I lost a dear friend this year, and I'm never going to get over it, but this album helps so much. Thank you, Amanda. Delenn

Exceptional punk music! I love sloppy punk, but this manages to be clean without without losing any energy at all (maybe even getting more of it in the process!). Can't recommend it enough and show them to everyone I know zacharypinkham
