Fool me Once - Standard Edition Compact Disc (SIGNED!)
Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album
Inspired by the classic noir film style, the album is an energetic rock opera of gangsters, vampires, betrayal and petty revenge set against the seedy underbelly of the post-prohibition era. The story follows anti-heroes turned reluctant partners Archie Walker and Josie Belue on their quest to topple kingpin Harold “The Diamond” Helsinger from the throne of his bootlegging empire, as chronicled by private investigator, Max Rudolph.
Signed by the band, includes access to the 44-page digital companion booklet.

lyrics
Got a nasty, lousy headache, My mind is boldly bound to break
But good for me I know the remedy For me, for goodness sake
Just three ingredients, please, To get me on then off my knees
I’ll kneel three times a day, Then stand up proud and kiss the three of these
For breakfast, give me coffee
For lunch, I’ll have a smoke
Dinner, something thinner,
While gin is fine but not ideal,
Just add a lime, and you’ve got a meal
So if you’re like me and you need a pal
Take all three, and I’ll show you how
Breakfast, lunch, dinner too
If you don’t leave them, they won’t leave you
Let me tell you all about it: My life was quickly going to shhh
But good for me I found the remedy, And I’m real proud of it
Just three ingredients please To get me on then off my knees
I’ll kneel three times a bit, then stand up and enjoy them as I please
For Breakfast, give me Cigarettes,
For lunch I’ll have a drink
Dinner, something quicker
Give me caffeine, I’ll take coffee Jack,
I don’t need no cream, I’ll take it black
So if you’re like me and you need a pal
Take all three, and I’ll show you how
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner too
And iff you don’t leave them they won’t leave you
For breakfast, something boozy
For lunch, a cup of Joe
Dinner something smokey
Roll it up, how I don’t care
Just fill my cup I’ll take it in like air
So if you’re like me and you need a pal
Take all three, and I’ll show you how
Breakfast, lunch, dinner too
And if you don’t leave them they won’t leave you
Got a nasty, lousy headache, My mind is boldly bound to break
Those dear old remedies No longer do me good for goodness sake
But I found a new thing, yes please! To get me on then off my knees
I’ll kneel three times a day, then stand up proud and drink it as I please
For breakfast, I want teacher
For Lunch, I’ll have a nurse
Dinner, something thicker
While priest fun, but not ideal,
Just add a nun and you’ve got a meal
So if you’re like me and you went to far
The world now is your cocktail bar
Breakfast, lunch, dinner too
I love them all, but my very favorite meal is you

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

So, here's my thing about this amazing thing. I've listened to every single thing of Amanda's that I could since 2008. So when I say I failed with this album, you'll understand how big that is. When this came out, I thought I'd get around to it later because I knew a bunch of the tracks on it already. I never got around to it. Now, I've heard it, and I'm broken. In the best way. I lost a dear friend this year, and I'm never going to get over it, but this album helps so much. Thank you, Amanda. Delenn

Exceptional punk music! I love sloppy punk, but this manages to be clean without without losing any energy at all (maybe even getting more of it in the process!). Can't recommend it enough and show them to everyone I know zacharypinkham
